Take a Look at what I've been working on!
Maple Trees
For the Love of Maple and creating Webpages! This project was the first of a grand adventure. I chose to demonstrate my understanding of HTML and CSS with a page showcasing beautiful Maple trees. Here you can see that I chose a centered layout for the text, and image. I created a button with styling, including shadowing and hover. The button responds when clicked with an alert, asking for your name, email, and favorite emoji. What a delightful beginning!
Weather App
Don't go outside without your Forecast! Coding with API calls brought a compelling challenge full of excitement and a new way of problem solving. I took my understanding of Javascript functions to a new level. I also improved my familiarity with containers and grids. Made a search bar that called on an API to change all the feilds in the app. I even ensured that capitalization was not an issue for the search. Try it out!
React Weather App
I combined my new found love of API's with German Language Learning to build this awesome Weather App. Find the weather in Celsius or Fahrenheit. I found it intensly rewarding to apply my skills in React. Check out your weather in German!
React Dictionary App
I loved working on this project. Writing Code and bringing that code to life was an amazing learning experience. I used two API integrations for complete dictionary results, including: definition, phonetics and sound file, synonyms, example sentences, and photos. I am working on some projects and pursuing jobs in this field.
Lonely Bat Books
My most rewarding challenge is connect the works of others to a digital platform. I worked with the authors to build them an interactive website where young readers can visit with their parents. Check out how I gave a beloved childrens book a digital home with this website.
